I have a small lift 1" - 2" with 265/70 -16 BFG A/Ts on it. I'm getting around 18.5 MPG on average. What is anyone with similar setups getting?

that is good mileage IMO.
Try to stick to 65 MPH for a long road trip and see what you get.
Don't add a roof rack with a lot of lights because that will ruin your mileage as well.
I have 3" lift and 275x70xR16 BFGs (31.3") tires and I recently got 19MPG highway miles by keeping speed below 65.

I'm on an inch taller tire, with similar lift, and average around 15mpg in the daily driving here. Road trip never seems to happen without towing something or being heavily loaded down, so it can be even worse.

There sure are a lot of these threads. I still don't understand how I've been 0-3 in 3.4L engines to brake the 20mpg mark. I get 17 mpg at best with a relatively stock rig with 95% hiway miles!

shoot i wish i got what you guys were getting 33.3x11.6 Toyo MT's 3.5" lift, around town 11.5mpg hwy 14mpg, before lift & tires 19-22mpg
Defiantly worth it for my second driver though!
WOW 0_0" those MT tires are not being friendly with your gas bills.....
When you calc you mpg did you take into consideration of the increase of tire size?? A 33.3 inch tire is about an increase of 8%. so you should do your mpg calc like this.....((miles ran on this tank)X 1.08)/(gals of fuel)

Start looking at location, and i think it might make more sense. If i could drive anywhere near an average speed, i'm sure i could do better, but its constantly accelerating and then wasting a ton of gas hitting the brakes because of some "other driver".
Thats why the 4runner stays at home daily now and i drive the tC ... it averages 24mpg even with me driving like a jack ass to get through traffic. Between the multi car discount on insurance and gas savings (i average 26,000 miles a year) the tC actually is free.

It's very hard to guage MPGs from 4Runner to 4Runner due to so many variables but overall they do fall in the 15-18mpg city and 21-23 hwy.
Some trucks are manual vs auto,higher altitude engines lose a bit of HP thus the engines have to work a but harder when dealing with hilly terrain and mountain passes,some of us are a bit more deliberate with the throttle and hard acdceleration does a number on your MPGs.
Some trucks simply run a little more efficient for a number of reasons whether they are lifted or not but really IMO it depends on the driver's style and wether you spend a lot of time in lower gears trying to maintain high highway speeds and jackrabbit starts are huge factors.
I personally drive a bit hard (75 on the highway) and don't like to lag in highspeed traffic so that hurts me right there and I have the 265/75 Duratracs and with the auto tranny I get anywhere from 15 in the winter and 17 in the summer around town (@5200ft and higher).
Driving up in the mountains even tho' it can be all highway I get about 19mpg but across Nebraska I saw a solid 22mpg.

I'm soo sorry ... Driving through Nebraska ... has to be the most boring drive ever! I always hate that part of the trip... East of Denver and all of a sudden its pretty much NOTHING.
