Lifting A Stock 4runner?

I want to lift my 1998 4runner limited, but not enough that it will damage the axles or rip the cv boots. I was looking on toytec and found OME 90004 shocks and OME front coils that go with them and they fir right in my price range. Is there any cheaper road i can take and what about the rear. :bolt: Thanks

Don't let the cv boots hold you back not that big of a deal.

Odds are that your boots are probably going to tear your boots regardless of how much it's lifted. That rubber is 15+ years old and has been in relatively the same position for that lifetime. It doesn't like being moved.

What are your whereabouts in Virginia?
Your CV boots will probably tear closer down the road once lifting, but there are many things to change out once you go bigger and bigger. Panhard drops, diff drops, sway bar drops, body lift(drops everything, or picks up one thing, however you look at it), recalibration after bigger tires, ball joints, ...runningboards , etc...

Definitely read the FAQ and read up on what you could be getting yourself into. This hobby is rich and there are many people to help you here, but just be prepared to invest.

You can't go wrong with OME stuff, with their suspension systems your truck will ride and handle better than new. Check their site for full F+R kits.
