seems dumb to me.

From all the situations shown in their video, looks like locking diffs would get you out of it.

Plus you can always stack rocks if needed.

Not worth money IMO

well they do have a purpose, so i wouldn't say their stupid but i'm with you i'm not one of those guys who needs all of the fancy snatch blocks and all of the little recovery accessories just give me a high rated lifting stap and a few pulleys from an industrial supply company and i'm good to go, like you said a shovel or stacking rocks/branches/small children under your wheels is good enough for me for pretty much every situation.

but then again if you got the arb snyth tow strap, snatch blocks, weighted mat and arb super pulling gloves why not get some of these, lol

I'm pretty certain that the company who thought about this looked at all the possible scenarios:
What if you don't have Diff Locks?
Say you got stranded in a desert or a desert type environment and there's no rocks to stack?
..you just never know when you might need it..is all...But it's not to say it's for me either.:peace:

yeah i thought of that but i can only really think of 1-2 places I've been in the whole us of a that's that sort of desert, sure it may take some work to get the rocks but for the most part we just don't have 100's of miles of sand here in the us of a , it's mostly rocky desert with some sand dunes thrown in for good measure, and even the sand dune ORV parks aren't that huge.

i mean yeah this may come in hand at times but cost vs. use is very lop sided in my mind.

Just saying. I mean I wouldn't wander off wheeling all alone and put myself in any precarious situation. Those supplemental recovery sytems are great if you have money to spend but still no substitute for a buddy who can haul you out..:cheers:

yep. I dont think that I'll be in a place without any rocks. I'm never leaving the Rocky Mountains! :D

I'd spend money on a snatch block and a synthetic winch line instead of these. But it is a cool idea.
 
yeah, i agree, waste of money, if you know how to drive and have other SIMPLE recovery gear.

wow talk about an old thread... just noticed this one was brought back from the dead
