Light Bar behind grill, custom carbon fiber mount

Mounted a 10" light bar behind the grill. Home made carbon fiber mounting brackets. Avoided drilling into steel bumper with a pinching design.

Made a mold relative to the width of the steel front bumper.
Used 6 layers of 6oz plain weave carbon fiber cloth and laminating epoxy.
Strong and flexible.

They slipped right over the bumper, and with a little patience and trim work, they fit great. Added stainless steel hardware and wiggled my fingers in there and done.

Also Relocated the Lic plate with a holder from ebay, to the lower part of the bumper plastic.

Just my opinion but for the effort and sacrifice of your lower grille you should mount it in the hood scoop (since you have the option) and get something larger for the lower part. Neither requires drilling. Those little 10" lights work much better sitting up high. plus its perfect for getting those slow drivers in the passing lane out of your way.

I bought this 10" light to do the hood scoop mount and I bought the mount bracket for it. But when I begain to do the install, the screws holding the plastic scoop inplace were rusted solid and the heads inside just spun. What I thought was going to be an hour project turned into me having to cut up the screws and some custom fitment. So before I did all that, I came up with this plan.
Down the road I might try the hood scoop again, if my wife lets be buy a bigger bar for the bumper

The two bolts are tight and the tension in the carbon fiber pinches the steel, it not moving.
