I know it is a poor quality pic (I will put better ones on later) but I finally got my lightbar on and wanted to show the final product.

I am excited to do some night wheeling sometime soon and really test these out :D

Here are some output shots that I finally got around to taking :D

Damn that looks badass! I like it.

Thanks man.

Its really solid and I like the fact that it just bolts on and I do not need to drill any holes or cut anything

My wallet is very unhappy with you right now Blair. I think I have to just avoid seeing you for a while. :)

Very Cool, I recently mounted my lights on the top of my bars since they were too low before. They were getting backed into by people all the time, always amazed me to come out to a parking lot and have people parked right on them. I think some people back up or pull into a parking spot and when they see the other car move they stop. Any way I got the PIAA brackets (had to do some mods since they were for 3" bars) to mount them up on top and the light at this level is so much nicer, plus out of reach of most cars/suvs hitting my westing bar.

Hey Blair, are they using a photo of you rig on the defiant web page?

http://www.defianttruckproducts.com/display_part.php?prt=81

I would assume that's his since they had absolutely no clue about the dimensions for a 4Runner before him.

Blair, did you fab this bar up yourself? it looks good.

No, he had defiant make it. Took them over 2 months and screwed up 3 time first but they eventually were able to accomplish this daunting task. :lmao:

That is true, it took far too long (which had many reasons involved) but I still remain impressed with the final product :bigok:

Also, if anyone is interested, they have a three tabbed bar (the mistake Josh is talking about) that is ready to go and you can get a really good deal on.

Don't let the long wait deter anyone, I think I will be the only one who will have to face that little problem. He has gotten all the measurements down now.

Looks good bro! Just a heads up, I was thinking of getting barri nuts for my front light bar and lights. Here is the link: http://www.expeditionexchange.com/barrinut/indexmain.shtml. They would stop someone with some sticky fingers from running away with about $500 of bar and lights.

Yeah, when I put the lights on we tried putting locking nuts on, but unfortunately KC uses fine threads, so the lock we had didnt work.

Dont know about these, if they work I am ordering them ASAP

Quick question..

On defiant's website they claim this is only for 05-Up. Was there a significant change to the lower grill that wouldn't allow this to be used on 03-04 models?

I think it should say 06+up

There was a big change on the 06 model year, and I am not sure if this bar would fit earlier models

I was parking the other day and forgot to put it in "P" took my foot off & rolled about a foot and hit the SUV in front of me. No marks on their reciever hitch (it was a Jeep GC) but put a little mark on my front end in the shape of the 2 in sq.

I wonder what would happen if I had that light bar? How do you think it would do in that situation? Low speed rearend parking mishap?

And yes I felt stupid - it was right in front of a pub (on Beach St)and all the smokers out side were watching.
