Light bar?

I haven't seen too many of these, and was wondering if anyone had a light bar or knew of a manufacturer that makes a nice one.

I've got a set of the Hella black magic lamps that I want to mount on the front of my 4R. I've heard mounting directly to the front bumper isn't very stable and secure and the lights end up shaking around too much.

Would like something simple - not ready for an ARB or TJM yet.

For those of you not familiar with the black magic lights, I've included this very helpful link :)

Westin makes a Safari Light Bar that comes either in Chrome or Black Powder Coat. I was cheap and bought the Powder Coated one and just painted it Silver. When I bought mine, they did not sell a kit to mount it, so I welded some brackets to the frame and bolted it up.

I just ordered a set of these too and wanted to mount them along the fat lip part of the bumper. If you figure out a good way to get them on there nice and stable would you let me know?
 
Kelly - i think that is the problem. Many seem to have mounted to the bumper, but few have had success in getting a solid mount.

Does anyone have this unit? Would love to see some more photos of this. I would ideally like the lights to be mounted higher though...

It's too bad they don't make one of these for our 3rd gen trucks, this is exactly what I am looking for (Defiant Truck Products - Tacoma Light Bar)

I saw a guy on campus with one that wasn't the westin it looked kind of like the one on that taco but coooler. it may have been fabbed up, ill take closer look next time i see it.
 
try to fab one yourself, for $327 that is a complete rip off. you realize that is about $5 worth of metal, and about $3 of labor.
 
I would love to fab one up, could you send me a tig welder and a powder coating booth/gun?:thanks::jk:
