My rig was just picked up by the fine folks at Hellbent Performance here in Chesterfield MO. Today my bajarack light bar is being installed along with 4 PIAA 520s. Will post pics later today or tomorrow.

Sweet deal man! Can't wait to see it! I have been interested in putting a lightbar on the top of my truck for a while now but haven't found one worthy enough. Any ideas how much they cost? :tongue:
 
The lightbar from bajarack was $200, plus about $50 for shipping to my part of the country. I went with the more expensive PIAA lights because I believe in paying for quality when it comes to some things. Those lights cost roughly $200 per pair. I am having the install done the proper way by having the shop drill thru the roof for a perfectly seamless look. I have been extremely pleased with my roof rack and ladder from bajarack and have no doubt this will be a great addition. Looking forward to posting pics for y'all once the install is done. stay tuned...
 
Full install delayed until Monday as I had to leave town. Installers got all wiring hooked up, however the roof rack will need to be raised approx 1/2" in order to attach the light bar. If not, then the light bar would interfere with the factory roof rails. The installer and I spoke with Bajarack, this is only the 2nd light bar they've made for the 3rd gen, so hopefully they will be able to address this for whoever orders the next one. not a big issue at all though.

Hell yeah dude! One of my buddies was dating the owners sister so pretty familiar with Hellbent. Pass it on my way to work everyday cause I work literally 2 building down. They do some badass trucks up there! My buddy and I have been trying to find a solid group of 4runner guys in St. Louis to go offroading with so we should definitely do that sometime! Can't wait to see pics.
 
After speakign with Bajarack, they are going to be machining 1/2 inch spacers to raise the rack on my vehicle, allowing the lightbar to fit better. I expect to have those sometime next week, then the install will continue.
 
Hellbent was going to use spacers they had, however they would have been a different finish, so Bajarack offered to make them to the exact specs as the roofrack, rendering the spacers perfectly seamless. To have to wait an extra day or two for the perfect look was definitely worth it. Just on a side note, saw a guy about to deploy to germany for 3 yrs this morning while at starbucks. His rig is a 98, homemade roof rack, TJM bumper, he took a look at the rack and ladder I had and was blown away by the quality.
 
Due to inclement weather I cannot get anymore photos posted right now, so this one of the newly installed lightbar in my garage will have to do. Will get more posted after this weekend. In person this thing is absolutely sick and the PIAA's really finish off the look.

Wow looks awesome! So Is bajarack still fixing the little problem you had on All 3rd gen light bars? Or was it jus yours in particular that had a problem?

When the rain finally stops i'll get some good pics for y'all. Bajarack created 1/2" rectangular shaped spacers that look perfectly seamless. This is only the 2nd lightbar theyve done for the 3rd gen, so not sure what the 1st guy did. It solved the problem 100% though.
As far as easily removing/replacing, the lightbar is held in place by several clamps, then you'd have to disconnect the wires. So, while not a 5 minute process, it could certainly be done, but I have no plans to remove/reinstall/remove/etc.
I tested the lights in my garage and the PIAA beams are insane. Now, I just have to figure out if shrockworks rock sliders and a front bumper are necessary...
 
one other quick note, the lightbar is built to accomodate 7" diameter lights, however I liked the PIAA 6" diameter lights, so Hellbent installed 1/2 inch spacers on the mounting brackets to get a centered look. Oh yeah, and I just ordered the Shrockworks rock sliders...

that is a very good question, not sure. when i get more pics i'll show how they drilled into my roof, but as far as the internal wiring good question. they did wire it legal so that it can only be used at full blast when my brights are on. otherwise, 2 of the lights work when the DRL are illuminated, none of them when low beams are on.
 
you can wire them however you want, i had them wired this way so that if ever pulled over i would not be cited for having them illegally wired. they wont be used on road anyway so its fine the way they are.

Kind of off topic but did you have Hellbent do your lift or anything else for you? Wondering what they charged you for the stuff you got done through them and what not
 
98, I had hellbent do the OME lift for me, install my Nitto's, and fix a CV and a few other things. they are fantastic, Mike is the guy I work with. They will also be installing the rock sliders I have on order from Shrockworks. If you do decide to use them, please tell Mike they guy with the 2000 4runner recommended them. You will not be unhappy, their labor rate is very reasonable at $70/hr too. These guys are building a reputation in the area quickly.
