Light issues with Bud Built Bumper

I've tried searching and can't find exactly what I'm looking for so here are a few questions I have.

My bumper is installed and all my lights work but, I know that some aren't working properly.

1. The turn signals are flashing at hyper speed (resistor installed)
2. The Daytime running lights when in Auto mode are only the LED lights on the bumper. Shouldn't the orange lights by the headlights be on too? Also shouldn't the high beams be on too for the running lights?
3. The fogs only work when the main lights are on, can't even use when in Auto.

My car guys couldn't figure it out and haven't been able to get ahold of Bud (probably due to the weather.)

Does anyone have a diagram on how this should work? I'm not an electrical guy and don't do any of this myself. Should I just go to my dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what's up with the hyper flash, but my guess is the total resistance is wrong so the vehicle thinks it's a blown bulb, hence the faster blinking rate.

The DRL when in AUTO mode is only suppose to light up the LED lights in the bumper, not the corner light in the headlight nor the high beams; so I think there's no problem there.

The fog lights are only suppose to work when the headlights are on, that's how it was from the factory too.

There's really not much to figure out besides the fast blinking, plus I really doubt the dealer is going to be competent enough to figure it out :)

My suggestion is possibly try a new resistor and see if that helps? If you're not too electrical savvy, search for resistors that are meant to go with LED bulbs, and that should be able to solve your problems. For example: LED LOAD EQUALIZER RESISTORS TURN SIGNAL BLINKER FIX | 1 PAIR - Turn Signal Resistors - Resistors

Don't be afraid to shoot vled an email, they are pretty good about responding and should be able to find you what you need to fix the blinker issue.

Sorry, who knew that 3/4" of snow in NC would shut down the whole city! lol! Give a call tomorrow and I can walk you thru the light issues. I think I know all the answers BUT the auto one. Maybe someone here can chime in and help!
Hyperblink prolly due to resistor in series, not parallel like it needs to be. :)

My answers, which are similar to above...
1. Normal because of the new addition to LED turn signals. There are special turn signal relay/fuse/flasher ( i forgot which it is that i bought) to help with this. Or the resistor route you went.
2. the DRLs on the runners are only the signals in the bumper. No part of the headlight is the DRL. As stated above.
3. I am sure if you read the manual that you will find the fogs will only work when in the on position and not the Auto. I have driven multiple cars in which this is the case.

So in a nut shell, don't worry about anything and just enjoy that beast of a bumper.

You only have the issue with #1 - just need to make sure the LEDs are properly wired for the resistors - hence the hyper-blinking. I had this same issue with my VLEDs and once I got the correct wiring for the resistors the hyper-blinking magically went away!

All the rest are normal behaviors. You need to do an Antman mod for #3 to work whenever you want...lol

once you get this sorted out please post some pics. wouldn't mind seeing more when your time allows

Will do. Bud called my guy yesterday and told him how to fix it. I will get it in on Tuesday and get it sorted out.

If anyone has thought about buying a bumper from Bud I would in a heartbeat. He has been great to deal with and my bodyshop guy said it was real easy to install all the holes lined up perfectly and he thought it was built very solidly. Great people to do business with IMO.

Thanks for the kind words! Sorry for the hassles on the lights but should be worked out soon.

Keep me posted as to how it goes and I'd love some pics of it too! :)
Thanks
Bud :)
