2 wires. Battery, DPDT switch, reverse lights. Can't use a skull lamp or a flashlight when backing my 700lb 60" zero turn into the trailer. Why are you backing it in you ask? Because the weight is biased on the rear tires and so it tows better when backed onto the trailer. Tried to post this earlier but the forum blew up and it didn't save.

If this is a standard DPDT switch you’ll be connecting +12v to ground.

It also doesn’t make sense to use a DPDT if your just going to connect both poles together?? And the bat jumper does nothing at all.

I have not wired this. I'm just trying to block the signal from the transmission when I need the reverse lights on. If I hop in, put it in drive and don't turn the new switch off, I could momentarily send 24V to the lights and I'm not sure they would appreciate it. That was a screenshot from Amazon for someone selling a DPDT switch. I would need help to know what the actual terminals needed would be so I don't backfeed the transmission computer.

Since you haven't said what you want to wire up so we thought we missed some posts when the forum went down.
What lights are you using? Thereafter, we can tell you how we think it is best to hook this up.
Honestly have no idea what you mean. Must have said it 4 times. If you read the thread I want to use the my 4Runner’s reverse/backup/white lights which shipped with the truck in the stock taillight assemblies (which I have already upgraded to a brighter bulb). I want the modifications to be invisible... so... no additional lights. I want to send power to the reverse lights, with a switch on the center console. I do not want to alter factory function. 2 wires and a ground if needed, the switch, the reverse lights any additional inline protective device to protect the transmission module. That is all.

Really? I see you saying several times that you want t retain the stock look, but I must have missed the post where you said exactly what you were planning on doing?

I already mentioned. with zero alterations or effort, engage your emergency brake and put in in reverse. done.
Or tap your trailer hitch 12vt power light that's already wired to keep all factory spec, put a harbor freight 10 buck led light bolted somewhere back the trailer or make it magnetic mount with quick wire disconnects if you don't want to drill or leave out. if you want help with diagram or tips, send me a pm
