Lights?

Ok so i just got some new fog lights to put on the runner, Now i was talking to a friend and he said you cant have more than 4 lights on at a time in Pennsylvania? Is that true cause i have the driving lights going and at night the fog lights too. But these extra ones am i allowed to have on with the other 4 going? cause thats 6 and it seems a bit much.

yes, that is true in most states. That is why factory cars are wired so when the high beams are on the fogs turn off (the low and high beams count as 4 lights). I'm not sure what your driving lights are like and if any cops would care if you had 6 lights going.

Yea i figured that was the case, But i have one more question and this applies to anyone who is good with Wiring. Now its fairly simple to connect the wire to the positive terminal on the battery and ground them and yada yada but then this one wire stumped me.. Here ill read what the direction says to do. This wire is purple, Now i am very confused on this. This is word for word. "Connect the purple wire of the black plug to a switched power source ( e.g. parking light, dash light, etc. ) " This is very confusing to me.. I have no clue as to where its supposed to go.

I forget the exact name for the wire. But it is what is going to turn the lights on and off. Your power and ground create the circuit and the last wire activates it. You can hook it to a aftermarket aux. switch which you can put anywhere on your dash or hide under if you don't want to hook it to any other circuit. You have to bring that wire and the positive wire through your firewall then hook them to the switch if you use an aux. switch.

Ok i have an idea now of what to do, but something that would help alot would be. Someone who wired there own lights before and knows where this wire goes to and sends a pic that would be greatly appreciated.
