Lights

Hey guys,

I ran into some problems last night...

I was changing the oil out of my dad's Lexus and after I changed it, the low oil light and the automatic headlight leveling system warning light came on before the car starts?

I don't get why though for the oil light.. This is the first time I switched it over to Mobil 1 full synthetic. I filled it up with to the recommend level and the light comes out?

Also, why is the automatic headlight leveling system warning light flashes before I start the car. The Lexus does have factory HID and this is the first time I had seen it flashed.

thanks.

Did the oil light stay on or did it go out after the engine was running for a few seconds? I've had the experience where the oil pressure light comes on right after the oil is changed, but it goes off as soon as the engine starts moving the oil around. The light means the oil pressure is low, not necessarily that the amount of oil is low.

The HID light would indicate that the self-leveling feature of the light is malfunctioning somehow. The factory HID's have little motors in them to ensure that the light stays pointed toward the ground and doesn't blind oncoming traffic on hills. You can see the motors work if you're in a dark place and the headlights are on when you start the car. You'll see the lights move up and down a little bit when the engine comes on as the motors calibrate themselves.

When I turned the key, it would flash and then it goes off..

Is similar to my runner but on the Lexus is different. The light is on everytime when I start the car up..

Also, I think the headlight might be mis-aligned a little. I saw the left one is a little bit higher than the right one..
