I have a 98 runner in real nice condition. It is completely stock. Since the rear brake lights were a little dime I thought I would change them out to led. Now when I push on the brake the front running lights come on too. Has anyone else had this problem. Mark

I removed the led and put the old lamps back in , the front running light did not come on when I replaced with old lamps. I took the led and put them in the back up light and they work fine with no problem.. I guess I will do a search for a plug and play full replacement.

You replaced them with LED bulbs? Thats pretty odd if you didn't mess with the wiring at all....

Wonder if it has something to do with the electrical system thinking there is no break lights since LEDs draw so little.

Thanks for the response. I did think it was a little strange. I just plugged it in did not mess with wiring. I did try and turn lamp 180 with the same results. I just bought new lamps for it. I think they are the original since its a 98 with only 62000 miles on her
