Limited liftgate assembly to non limited?

Has anyone tried or is it possible to swap in a limited lift gate release assembly with the rear window up/down buttons onto a non-limited t4r?

I'd imagine the problem you would run into would be a lack of hardware for the proximity key system which the buttons work off of.

If you just want to access the window from outside you can use the key slot to roll it down.

I doubt the wiring will be there either. Past threads dealing with swapping things between models has revealed that models are pretty much wire harness specific. I doubt you will find a plug or wires stowed that you can just connect to.

I recently bought my 4runner limited from auction. I had had to replace entire lift gate myself. I can tell you this will not work because limited has smart key (proximity) key. The release assembly is different.
