I am looking to remove the rear bumper on my 2014 limited to fix a crack in the bumper cover. I saw a couple of posts on how to remove the bumper cover but none specifically about the Limited. Since I have a Limited with sensors in the bumper, anything I need to know about when attempting to remove the Limited bumper? I assume otherwise the process is similar to the other T4R models?

I just removed my Limited's rear bumper last week. Very straight forward like the SR5/Trail bumper.
- remove the rear tail gate catch plate plastic cover
- start with removing the mud flaps and inner lower fender liners
- unbolt the (6) under body carriage screws
- unbolt the bolts along the rear tail gate
- slowly pull the left and right bumper panels off the inner retaining track holding them
- slowly pull the bumper rearward and horizontal and it will slide free
As for the sensors, the cleanest is to disconnect the sensor wiring main plug located on the lower left bottom side of the rear bumper. I tried to disconnect the plug but found it really difficult to get the tab to unhook to release.
Since I was swapping out my Limited to the SR5/Trail bumper, once the bumper was loose and resting on the steel bumper reinforcement was to crawl/lay underneath and reach behind/inside the bumper cover and gently pull the sensors off the sensor retaining clip/holster. There are clips and tape holding the sensor wire cabling along the rear bumper that will also need to be un-clipped and tape pulled off to free all wiring from the bumper. Once all that is removed the bumper is now free of the sensors and can be completely removed.

Yes I'm doing the front and rear bumper swap. I followed @2nd Chance build that he did on his Limited conversion to a TRD Pro. His build http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/203958-trd-limited-fat-bike-hauler-v1-1-a-10.html is my inspiration! Slowly getting there :biggrin2:
The swap is unfortunately not straight forward. There are different internal brackets, supports, etc that need to be changed out. It's also not a cheap swap either considering all the new support parts and especially the bumper covers and then having it painted unless you are lucky to find a good used bumper cover on ebay in the exact color.
It took me several months to slowly accumulate all the necessary parts; buying it new/used on ebay or from an online Toyota retailer to find the best deals. I can send you a spreadsheet of all the parts required to do the full swap of the front & rear bumpers as well as the side rocker panels.
As for the sensors you will need to drill 22mm holes into the SR5/Trail bumper covers. The factory sensor holes are not a complete circular hole as there is a small cut out as you can see in the pic below that "lock" the sensor clip/holster in position. The sensor will only slide and fit into the sensor clip/holster in one way so the sensor clip/holster needs to be oriented on the bumper in the same way as it was on the Limited. The sensor clip/holster will fit and be secured in the 22mm holes that you drilled but it will rotate. You will need to secure the back of the sensor with strong adhesive tape to the back inside of the bumper to keep the sensor in position and not rotate or come loose.

I swapped my 2011 SR5bumper(same as 2011 LE) for a 2016 trail and encountered many of the same issues with the sensors. They have been working perfectly!
