Limited sound system vs GX460?

Hi,
I 'm wondering if anyone here has experience with both the T4R Limited sound system as well as the base GX460 sound system (non-Mark Levinson). I'm looking at possible trading in my Limited for a GX and I'm wondering how they compare.

I did test drive a GX, but with the salesmen in the car I felt weird blasting the stereo and taking the time to adjust all the sound settings to see how it was. Looking back, I shouldn't have cared, but I'd like to see what other people think about the comparison.

My cousin has 2017 GX460 I guess. It's non Levinson. I personally think our JBL is better, but 800 W Levinson is way better than our Limited JBL.

not sure i agree on the levinson. IMO the sound is weird and comes across as overly processed to create a surround feel

You mean levinson sounds a little artificial?

I had a 2015 GX, but my 4Runner is the lowly trail. Between the two the GX was better, but it still wasn't amazing.

I haven't heard the recent Levinson systems in the GX but it's really difficult to do much worse than the stock JBL system. For a "branded" upgrade it really is subpar. The highs have no separation at higher volumes and become very sibilant and convoluted. It's just a mess and a very long time since this has been an issue. On the bottom end, too much midbass and sub can't reach the lower depths of certain genres. It has been almost a decade since a stock stereo has motivated me into wanting to do something about it. I find it hard to believe the Levinson can be worse. Then again audio is very subjective so best to check it out yourself. For reference, I'm a Martin Logan and Marantz guy.

I have a 15 GX and 16 4RLTD - the system in the 4R is better than in the GX. The base system in the GX is not very good...
