Ok so I am new 4runner owner. I recently made the swap from a wrangler.

I am not up on the lingo here. Can someone explain all the jargon 3 gen, 4th gen, trd etc....

I am not up on the lingo here. Can someone explain all the jargon 3 gen, 4th gen, trd etc....

3rd gen is last body style pre 2003 models.
4th Gen is current body style.

TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development. Toyota's badging for some aftermarketish upgrades. "Offroad" shocks, upgraded sport seats (Tacoma's), grills, hoods, exhausts, etc... but with the Toyota brand behind it.
