Liquid in throtle

Allright, i just bough a 2nd gen t4r with 144k. As i was inspecing the air filter and other stuff, i noticed that the throtle has some brown liquid inside. Ive never come up with something like this before so i wanted to know if that is somehing to worry about . I also noticed that the car has a lot of problems "building up" speed, meaning that sometimes it take me a good 5 sec or so to get from 0-10 mph. I know the car is heavy and runners are not build for speed and whatever, but still its lacking power . Can the lack of power be because of the whole water inside the throtle thing?

How do i know if the valve is working properly ? I've never checked those before.

Would a Fuel Cleaning kit do the trick?

Take a look at the PCV valve. Make sure it's not blocked up; may be able to clean it if it is but I would just replace it. They're pretty cheap.

Thanx for all the info. After doing some research on that seafoam, i think im going to try that. I'll post any updates asap.

Throw it up in the air, if it falls to the ground, replace it. Seriously its cheap and its more comforting having new parts than old ones.

The brown liquid is more than likely oil buildup from the breather.

All the suggestions above will help and work just fine.

All right. so after reading GonOvr's Post or Nate.. I decided to buy another valve and install it, i also bought a can of sea foam and did that to the runner. Here is the update:

Yes, the valve was very cheap but on the 3.0 v6 SR5 is a pain in the rear to change it. As soon as i touched the original valve it broke and the space is very limited, look:

after an hour and a half of trying to take the valve off, i finally succeeded and my journey to putting the new one in started...

After a while i succeeded and proceeded to sea foam the car. after some smoke (Less than i expected) i checked the throttle body and i still found liquid inside..

Any other recommendations on what to do ?

I did however noticed improvement in power in the car after sea foaming and changing the valve. Before i couldn't go over 55mph now i can go 70 in the same conditions as before.

I'm still thinking it lacks power and its giving me roughly 8 - 9 mpg in city
