load leveler for installing engine

anyone use these? all the pictures I see engines are just dangling off chains, does this gizmo make aligning easier? only 30 bucks at harbor fright.

I think I mentioned the other day we use seat belts tied around the block. Easiest way. I have that load balancer and we never use it. Most of the time those hooks dont reach any of the bolt holes and becomes more a PITA.

LOTS easier. You turn the screw at the top to bias the engine's weight forward or back and tilt it as you need it.

Those are nearly required on every car I have done engines on (FWD/AWD Toyotas and Subarus). With careful placement of the chains (the one I have uses adjustable chains on the sides), it is like having an extra set of hands to get it all lined up.
