I have recently bought a new ignition to replace the one that got stripped out when my 89 4runner was stolen. I bought a new one off the internet that appeared to be the right one (matched my year) but the lock pin is near the key hole, where as my old one is farther down the ignition. So in other words, the new ignition will not work because of the lock pin placement. I have a 86 4runner and the lock pin is by the key, and same with my 88 p/u. I guess i am just wondering if anyone knows anything about this, and where the placement of the lock pin is on 2nd gen 4runners, and if that's what i need to buy.
