locker not engaging

hi yall, 1997 limited, 210,000 miles, tundra rattlecan rims and tundra brake upgrade, hellas, i can drive figure 8s all day and cannot get the factory locker to engage, the abs lights come on and blink, but no engage, any ideas.

try doing it in a straight line...

pull it off, clean it up, re pack it with grease and see if that will do it.. if that doesn't do it then its the electronics.

Yeah you should be able to hear it engage when it goes to the locked position. Mine sticks occasionally from lack of use. Just try to engage after driving for a while. It should be engaged once a month to help keep it from sticking like it is now. I've had mine take several days to finally start working again after forgetting to use it for months.

I don't hear it on mine, at least not when I am in the cab with all the doors shut.

pull it off, clean it up, re pack it with grease and see if that will do it.. if that doesn't do it then its the electronics.

Grab a multimeter and make sure you are getting power to the locker before tearing it apart, but removing, cleaning and repacking is a great idea. Here are 2 great tutorials on the lockers:
