Ok lets see what everyone on here thinks. Im going to put an elocker set up in my 3rd gen and not wanting to wire it all in through the ecu and everthing. Was seeing what all it may take to wire it in just to like a toggle switch setup. Should just need a 12v constant and ground and maybe an accessory wire that gives power when ignition switch is on.

Get the locker! LSD can be nice, bit will never compare to a locker. You won't regret it.

i put a lock rite in my 87 and loved it minus the clicking.

It was like $150 bucks, but I got the engraved panel...if I did it again, I would just get the switch and LED and drill into one of my pop out plates as I did later...so I ended up throwing away the little panel

There is a cable setup that replaces the electric actuator and wiring.

the factory e-locker is awesome, and works very well. You can't go wrong with it.

I retrofitted an E-locker in my rig. I used the oem switch and ecu too. Looks cool.

I even retrofitted a center diff lock too.



I changed my Instrument cluster with a Sequoia and lost the RR DIFF light. So I wired it up to skid mark light.

Just wire it up yourself with a factory switch. IMO The factory switch looks way better than any aftermarket switch. With either switch the 4 wheel drive ECU is not needed. The link below explains...
