Locking Hubs BEWARE

So i thought people would be smarter than to mess with others peoples stuff, or at least i did until i spent the first two days of this week driving my first gen with the front hubs locked. Burned half a tank of gas in TWO whole days! Idiot children at my school apparently find that funny but footing the bill for gas i burned on their "Prank" sure didnt have me laughing. So all 4runner owners with manual hubs BEWARE and be sure to check them before every drive.

I lock mine and leave them locked all winter and it doesn't affect my mileage at all. Well, probably a little, but not enough to notice. Definitely not enough to burn through a tank as fast as you did. If your mileage magically returns to normal after unlocking them, you need to rebuild them. Badly.

They just got rebuilt lol now while my mileage isnt exactly the best i definitely noticed a spike in gas consumption. Maybe they stole my gas too

My slushbox auto doesnt exactly help with MPG either
