I don't see anything in the installation instructions or in these pages specifically mentioning anyone using threadlocker on the bolts when installing their sliders. Conversely I also don't see anything about using anti-seize which is so prominent in all the skidplate posts. I don't really plan on ever taking these sliders off the vehicle, but would only use the 'releasable' type if I did. Any reason not to?
Also, I fully understand the need to use anti seize when mating bolts/nuts/thread where two different metals join, but I read about so many people here using it with steel-steel applications etc. Is this primarily just for rust prevention in wet climates, conditions, stream crossings etc.?
