Hey guys, found a '00 TFR with an elocker, which I was pretty set on, 150k miles, a little more than I wanted, but seems to be very well taken care of. Owner is asking 6300. It's a few states away, so I was planning on flying in and driving it back home.

The owner has sent me a few pics.

Seems pretty clean, and they can provide me with all maint docs dating back to purchase (second owner, 10 years).

Is there anything I'm missing? Asked about tranny and radiator, which is original. Said tranny was services within 20k miles.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

X2 on that. But I wouldn't be worried about the miles. If the belt hasn't been done it will need replaced. Sounds like it was taken care of.

It's a trailer brake controller. Which would prompt me to ask how much weight it has towed, and how often.

Looks awesome - baby car-seat is a good indicator that it was driven conservatively (mine had one in the pictures the PO sent as well, interestingly enough!). First order of business should be an external tranny cooler - you don't want the pink milkshake!

But that looks super clean, and $6,800 isn't a bad price, all things considered.

Timing belt and water pump at 130... A little long. Radiator would be the first thing I replaced. Haven't asked about LBJ. Asked about trailer brake, and said that it was put in from previous owner.

I imagine you're flying into PDX? That's a long cab ride to Eugene. What time do you get in? I'll be coming through Portland tomorrow evening and could perhaps give you a lift, if the times jive. And you're not a weirdo.

It was actually 6350, I talked him into splitting the flight with me. Seemed fair.

I found a decently priced flight into Eugene. 5 hour flight with a layover, but it gets me there

If you have some spare coin your drive home will take you through the home towns of both CVT and CBI... Could get yourself a tent and some bumpers =)

East of Boise on I84 is the "Boise Stage Stop" which is a little truck stop in the middle of nowhere... AWESOME biscuits and gravy.

Just be ready to find puke in places that defy both gravity and the imagination... I lent mine to a friend for a week while I fixed his, and i got it back with puke in some crazy places.
