long travel rear: 4 link with panhard bar vs wj style 3 link?

but I think a cantilever wouldn't be too bad and have the shocks/coilovers where the spare tire is (can't fit a spare anyways).

If you go cantilever I'm expecting something like this to match how sick your front is :D.

Ok, so the more I think about it, the more I want to run ORI's and the less I want to do a cantilevered setup (I rrrrreally don't want to do the extra fab work). I've decided I'm okay with cutting into the wheel well to make a taller shock hoop in the back and I'll probably make a bolt in crossbar to add rigidity (kinda like a strut bar). Does anyone know what size struts I'd need in the front for the TC LT kit? Is it 8"? and for the rear, if I'm mounting the shocks straight from the shock hoop to the axle, that should be a 1:1 motion ratio, right? so if I want 17ish inches of travel, I'll need an 18" strut? Does anyone know roughly the price of the ORI's? And what are the main differences between their 3 strut lines? (ST, STX, and DP3)
Thanks!

have you seen CRC linkage? Its an adaptation of watts linkage for off road. And its awesome. And its fairly simple

That's pretty sweet!! I didn't like the watts linkage because it added alot of height to the diff, but I don't know why I never thought of rotating it like that. Dammit, now I have another setup to consider lol. Does anyone know the max travel you can get out of stock geometry? But probably still with beefier, heimed arms

if your concerned about them matching up just get King air shocks. Pretty much the same thing as ORIs. And you can get bypasses.

One thing about ORIs is that they are on a massive lead time. 5/6 weeks last time I checked. Oh and 18" ORIs will run you 700+ per shock

I looked into them and I read that they're not as good for high speeds because the nitrogen heats up too much and the shocks don't perform as well. I think I've decided to go with side hoops and rear coil-overs. Probably kings. I'm just debating on the 16's or 18's and whether I want to go triangulated 4 link or wj style 3 link. I'm leaning more towards triangulated 4 because there's a little less fab required and it seems to be more popular.

I'm interested to see what you come up with. I've spent quite a bit of time imagining ways to stick coilovers in the back. For me I cant really cut into the body with how my rear storage setup is but who knows. Time will tell.

Yah, storage is a concern for me too. I have a toolbox that fits between my wheel wells and I also wanted to still be able to use an air mattress in the trunk. The way I'm imagining it is the shock hoops will be mounted to the outsides of the frame and heavily gusseted and go up through the tops of the wheel wells rather than in through the sides of them like most bed cage setups. I'll build a bracing that goes between the hoops in the cab that can be unbolted and removed if I need the bed space for something. Hopefully I can gusset the hoops well enough so that I only need the braces when I'm prerunning the truck and wont have anything in the trunk anyway.

This also figure instead of the bar just brace it in the wheel wells and cap over the towers.

I really like this setup. I'll be getting 18" king coilovers so they'll protrude a lot higher into the cab, but the idea is the same. I think I'll probably do that boxed style mount rather than a hoop because I'll only need to cut one hole instead of 3 and it would be easier to build a removable "strut bar" with flanges that bolt onto the side and/or top faces. Hell, with how high the shock towers will be, I could probably just make the bracing curve up towards the roof and make it double as a roll bar.
