I wonder if you couldn't get glass lenses from a cheap set of Depots and switch them with the plastic? Problem solved. That's what I was thinking if I ever bought these lights

In addition to Brilliant, forum member Mikeeford has these lights. (How do you tag members by the way? I tried tagging and cant figure out how to do it. I tried typing in the user name, and then select the "wrap mention tag", but its not working)
They look good with the halos lit up.

No yeah Honda's are made to last, they go 200k+ miles easy. For whatever reason they miss the mark on headlights though. Even my sister's 2008 has foggy headlights already.

To keep your recently buffed/restored plastic lenses from yellowing again you need to apply a coating with UV protection. Some headlight kits do come with a coating or use something like Optimum Opti-Coat.
The glass lenses on my 02's headlights didn't fade,but it has a lot of small rock chips. Before I install the new headlights I'm going to apply a clear film for impact protection. My replacement lights are glass but I would still install the film if they were plastic,the name brand ones also have UV protection which is a plus for plastic lenses.
If anyone else buys those projector headlights and does what [MENTION=74071]Brilliant[/MENTION] did (swap existing halogen projectors with TRS Mini H1 projectors), I would hold off buying the Mini H1 projectors until January when TRS releases the 7th generation design, they'll have a beam pattern wider than one of the best factory HID projectors ever made (Honda S2000)

but anyway if you take care of the plastic lenses they will last. they need more attention but I do like the glass on the runner better than the plastic on the Subaru!

I thought it seemed a little pricey to buy these and then work on them some more. He also sells black ones, would be nice to see them in action.

I like the lights. I wish there were more options for aftermarket headlights for the 3rd gen. You can get projector style lights for the 1st gen taco, and even the fj80, but nothing offered in the US for the 3rd gen.

Those upgraded headlights look so out of place. IMO they look out of place on our rigs also but not as bad as 1-2 gen vehicles.

I think that's only because of what we're used to seeing. It's pattern recognition. If the 3rd gen had come from the factory with double projector lights, then that would look normal instead of the mickey mouse eyes
Edit to add:
I've always liked Range Rover headlights. The Land Rover is just as boxy as the 3rd gen, and I think their lights work very well on their vehicles. I wish there were a 3rd gen headlight option similar to this one. Not exactly identical, but similar.

Exactly. It just dont seem right at all. Its the shape of the housing. Projectors usually flow with the housing. Ours just look modified.

Yeah, Im not a big fan of the bug eye look. I think the look would work if you could get a 4" or 5" inch projector to fill in the housing more, and then inset it deep in the housing so it doesn't stick out at all. But there are no 4 or 5" projectors

They do exist
closer to 6" diameter
but they're quite long too, if they sat any deeper the driver side projector would've hit the battery
My old Tundra. They're projectors off an Infiniti Q45,had Ceasar @ Lightwerkz do the retrofit.
