Look what I found!

After a while of looking for it and recently giving up. I saw it pass me while I was running this morning. I got home about 10 minutes later and after about 2 hours I decided to go for a drive and look for the needle in a hay stack. I saw it parked in a church about 3 miles from my house. Long story short, we agreed on a price and hopefully I can buy it back!!

...and that big wheel finally comes back around full circle! Now you have to promise us that this is it--you buy it, you keep it FOR LIFE!

If you buy that truck, I'm going to fly to Colorado and pee all over it, and then I'm going to show pictures of me peeing in your truck to everybody you try to sell it to.

I mean it.

Agreed! You gonna keep it this time? You owe that rig a big apology for abandoning it!

As I recall:

So... Since I'm going to keep the 4runner I figured I would start a new build thread because this will be an epic build.

Epic fail more like it :lmao:... gonna start another thread?

Yes, I have admitted that getting rid of it has been one HUGE mistake that I have tried to undo for a while.

COB: As for an epic build, maybe over a period of time but that thing is already pretty capable. The current owner added a front locker and a winch so that just adds to the badassness of this 4runner.

Yes, I will give this thing the biggest and best offroading trip ever in an effort to apologize to it and make up for lost time. The current owner has only taken it out once so it has been pounding the pavement for a while and needs some dirt.

Edit:

I was pretty impressed with the fact that it has that HUGE hitch on it. The guy has been towing about 1000 lbs with the 4runner and he said it does pretty well. However, after driving a S/C 3.4, I'll have to put one of these engines in at some point.

No updates. I sold my 3rd gen and decided not to buy my 1st gen back. My wife and I have decided to use the money to take care of some other bills and get out if debt before I get back into wheeling. I'm thinking that in about 6 moths I'll be ready to find another toy.

I know, I figured I would catch some flack for this but I don't regret it. I made the right choice and will be better off in the end. I am a mechanic and a tinkerer at heart so I will eventually have another project... Even if my track record shows that I'll sell it a few months/weeks after I get it.

Rule number one. Spend the money before the wife has a chance to "reason" with you.

Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

My first gen came home after selling her through impossible odds I ended up with it back. I didnt even try to buy it back. She made her way home on her own. No kidding.

Your first gen was out looking for you....and you connected. Should of capitalized. Your gonna kick yourself forever now. She tried to come home.

Women dont understand the man 4runner bond.

With 28 people watching it and 14 bids with more then 2 days left in the bidding, it's anyone's best guess where this thing will finally end up.

But, I can personally guarantee it will not end up in the hands of SV Dude.

I wouldn't mind buying it back but it will be a while till I have another project. Hopefully the buyer/seller gets what they want. It's a solid rig!
