lookin to Move to GTA from SoCal

what up, eh!

Im lookin to move to Toronto for a couple years and was looking to make some car buddies ahead of time and maybe get some help.

I interviewed at a few dealers for work but no one is taking me seriously untill im moved. But I wont move till I have some income. Im a Lexus certified tech and am ready to take the licensing exam in Ontario. I've been a Set dresser for motion picture here for the last 4 years. I also have a deg in Manufacturing Engineering

I need an official offer to get my work Visa so I will take a Cash job just to get my ass out there for now.

Anybody want to say Hi? or just give a recommendation other than, "your F'ing crazy"

Just a question. Why Toronto?

Have you tried the lexus dealerships here? What kind of job are you looking for? Dealership? Offroad shop? Expected income? What area are you looking to live?

Hey now! Im probably gonna end up in the York Mills area. I interviewed at Lexus On the Park but I dont think he took me seriously. I need a job offer to get a work visa to get paid by check but cash always worked for me.

I would to work at a Lexus, Toyota dealer or performance shop, off road or race. I used to build drift, drag and roadrace cars here for 8 years. I'll take a service writer gig at any luxury dealer.

I have a certificate in Manufacturing Engineering and am a damn good salesman for technology equipment ex: Medical equipment

I also do many types of fabrication, custom light fixtures, interior design and Home theater design and install etc...

I will be up there for some interviews feb 24 to mar1

Hey,

If you are looking for offroad/custom shops there are a ton, but I don't know if the pay will be up to par with you. But in any case, tool up some of the sponsors on the ontario fj cruiser forum, as well as jeepkings, zookpower and stuff like that.
As for dealers, they will probably want you to physically be here to talk to you. Because there are tons of unemployed mechanics here so what's going to set you apart from them over the phone?
