Looking at buying 06 runner w/ 79k have a few qustions

Hey guys new to the forum , looking to pick up my first runner and join the community but have a few questions..

I am looking at a 2006 sport with almost 79k on it and wondering what types of things/issues should i be looking for.. is there anything that typically breaks around 70k-80k that i should look out for? also the runner is selling for around 19k in Colorado what are your opinions on the price considering the miles

In Florida I just bought an '06 SR5 (one owner) with 54k miles from a dealer, I paid 17.5 (1k less than their internet price). KBB value was about 4k higher (not that KBB means much tho)

I'd look to see if the service history on the vehicle reflects that it was taken care of, id have the brakes checked to make certain that there are no "frozen calipers", and id make sure the differentials had their gear lube changed.

I looked at one in North Tx about the same price and mileage but learned a lot in my 4 mo of looking.

Such as:

1. That price went down 2K w/o me making an offer, 07 V6 2WD w/o any extras vs loaded was my goal.

2. Check the 2 front finders for Vin # under the hood and any signs of front-end damage/repairs. A dealer showed me a dream but due to a missing vin # and no record of a repair on the CarFax they w/n Certify. Have any Toyota Deader pull the history of dealership work on theT4R using the Vin #. Compare the Carfax info with Dealer’s history verifying miles year by year and services. The CarFax will only show what was reported if the work w/n repaired at a Dealer.

3. The Certifying cost should be included in cost vs above, records showing what work was needed, IMO.

4. The B-B Extended Warranty can be confusing because it only comes through Toyota’s new purchases.
