Looking at buying a 3rd gen. Wrecked & Repaired, your thoughts?

I've added some pics from when it was wrecked, seller(dealer) states that body shop repaired by replacing bumper, hood, and front left fender but nothing else.

Engine bay also shows rust on many of the metal components, as I'm not familiar with 4runners inside and out, is this typically and indication of a rusted under carriage as well?

76K miles and $6900, so the deal seems pretty decent. I am really hesitant with the damage and rust though.

With that amount of rust on the fittings in the engine bay, I would imagine it has a lot of rust underneath. I think it is too expensive for what I have seen in the pictures, and I'm assuming it does not have a clean title.

If it was repaired right it would be fine. My concern would most likely be how long it sat before it was worked on. That amount of oxidation may also be in the engine also.

Looks like it was up for auction January of this year. Not sure when repairs were completed, will need to ask.

It does have a salvage title - collision, just looked it up

I'd say that might be too high for a salvage title. Check out fightman80 build. He had similar rust. Definitely check under the rig for rust

No way should you pay that much for that. It is NOT a decent deal. It mostlikly sat for a good amount of time (not good) and is salvaged(horrible). You would do better with a 4r at 150k miles with a clean title.

Look at that fusebox lid. Look at the driver side core support!! They hacked that twisted mess into whatever shape they could bolt a cheap-o certifit fender onto. Offer him 1000. This thing is a piece of shit.
