Looking for a 4Runner club in Hawaii

I know this is an old thread but I just found it. So add me to the list of 4R's in the club. I know a handfull of Toyota owners (mostly tacoma's or tundras) that would also jump on.

I am running stock set up right now. My warranty should be running out in the next year so once it runs out, I hope to taste a higher altitude.

Unfortunately, there isn't much options for 4th gen lifts.

hi all

I found this forum and thought I could ask for some advice. I've been looking for a 4Runner for a while. I have a soft spot since I kinda grew up with one. I plan on using it mostly to get me to and from surf spots - no real off roading.

In any case, I saw this ad on Craigslist and got kinda excited. I'm in Hawaii, and these don't pop up that often.

It has less than 120k mi and is a 5spd. No real rust to speak of (a couple of tiny surface bubbles on the roof). No leaks from the head gaskets, differentials, or suspension bits. Belts have have been changed at 85k mi. It drives tightly. All electronics and A/C work, but it's not in perfect cosmetic condition (missing some badges), weak rear hatch shocks, but the interior is pretty clean for a 20+ yo car. Wheels look a little corroded but the tires are new.

What do you guys think it's worth? I think I can get it for $7000 out the door (he's a small dealer).

Aloha, I picked up a 2016 T4r sr5.

Sweet! I have a 99 and a 14 4Runner. Don't know which I like better. My 99 is a 2.7 with a stick and my 14 is a SR5 Premium. Both 2wd. I like the power of the 14 but the size of the 99. Funny I thought the 4.0 engine would have poor gas mileage but it gets over 20 MPG vs 21 for my 4 cylinder. Glad to see 808 peeps still here.

Best bet is to link up with the guys on Tacomaworld.com since there is way more modded Taco's than the 4R here in Hawaii. But we still have some mean ones:
