So I've had a set of FJ springs & spacers in my garage for about a year.
There never seems to be enough time to put them in. I mean, I'd rather go out and drive, off road, shoot, hike, bike, yada yada yada.
But the "scrape" on the skid plate and slowing dooooowwwwwnnnnn when hitting some areas is nagging.
With that in mind... Anyone know of a shop who can
1. Swap out the springs
2. Install the front spacers while they're at it
At a "reasonable" rate?
Oh yeah, I have air suspension AND X-REAS. 50k miles and an extended warranty so I'd prefer not having to rip out X-REAS, just yet.
Anywhere between/around Tahoe NV to San Jose CA (includes Sacramento, Grass Valley, Placer, etc.)
I constantly waffle between doing it myself (putting aside the time) but then having to hit a shop to get an alignment (finding a shop open on a weekend to do an alignment isn't happening).
The tires are at 50k and I'll want to get them swapped out before first snow, hence my further motivation.
Or just do it and push off the alignment for a few days? How much time is it going to take and how long can you drive with bad alignment?
