Looking for new headlight and yellow fog bulbs

Well, if having broken/blown OEM fogs wasn't enough, I just had both of my Silver Stars blow (low beams, luckily the high's still work for some reason), so all i have is parking lights and high beams. I put in the brackets for my Hella DE's, and am looking for the best yellow bulb to put in them. I can't afford HID right now but will probably convert once I get a job this spring. What do you guys suggest I use for the fogs?

Also, I need input on new headlight bulbs too. I am sick of the Silverstars and PIAA's I have used in the past - they always required frequent replacement (3-4 times per year) and offer just okay light output. I'm basically looking for something as close to HID as possible ("4100k" or around that). Any input would really help. Thanks

I've had the same deal with Silverstars, they constantly fail after a few months, I will never buy them again. I've had the best results with IFP and/or KC 55/100W bulbs. The 100W high beam is fantastic.

I also have the silverstar ultra as they are readily available in local stores.

nokya hyper yellows look good. my silverstar ultras blew so i'm runnin Hella H4s from advanced auto parts. they are a little whiter then the ultras.

kelly how much are you spending on a pair of bulbs each time you buy them? if you want good light and a 2 year warranty pick up some hids of ebay they ar abut 55-60 bucks shipped that is wat i paid for mine and im running a hi lo h4 kit in my headlights and a h3 3000k yellow in my hella des.

both wastes of money speaking from experience i have been through more sets of piaas than any other person i know. and with those bulbs being minimum 40 a pair ill pass. never going back to halogen again.

DRLs are the fault of Silverstars going out and shouldn't be used with DRLs. I don't have them and my first set of Silverstars lasted 2 and a half years and with the Ultras I expect to get the same and the Ultras are a tad brighter but need a bit of help in the rain which comes from my Nokya Hyper yellows I got from ebay for under $20 but I'd still like to mount some larger Hellas on the top of the bumper for real inclement weather lighting.
