Looking for new shocks for my 02 sport edition

I have a 02 4runner sr5 4wd sport edition, and I'm looking for replacement shocks. I originally wanted the 5100's up front and the piggy backs by bilstein. But I read a thread that recommended the tokico trekmasters (for land cruiser) for the front. I need some advice.

I am leaning towards the trekmaster (ge4095) with a Trd spring up front
And bilstien piggy backs( think they are 5125's) in the rear

If I decide to go with trekmasters can I actually buy the ones for a landcruiser? If so will I be able to add a Trd spring or eibach?

If I decide to go with 5100's which ones do I get?

You read that wrong. Its a land cruiser shock that works on the rear of the 4runner. 5100s for a tundra and the rears you mentioned will work fine.

Oh ok, thanks a lot for the quick reply.
So then I buy 5100's front for a tundra, and put my 4runner coil spring, or do i have to buy a tundra spring? Is there a spring you recommend?

I'm new to this t4r forum, is the link to that chip for more horsepower on ur response something u r recommending? Or an ad?

I'm in the exact situation as you are, right down to the exact same rig. I have been searching for the last few weeks on "what is best" for our rigs and it basically boils down to preference & what you are going to be doing/your needs. I have been eyeing those Rancho's 90000 series for our trucks, with the "my ride" option that allows you to adjust "on the fly" (depending on what you have going on) and pairing them up with some OME springs... I keep searching and waffling on which way to go but hope to be able to pull the trigger on something by the end of month as I am so tired of the way my rig is riding these days with 140,000 on a the factory setup... it is way past time to upgrade.

I ended up buying shocks last night on eBay I paid 309 with free shipping for a set of 5100's for the front and 5125's for the rear. The only thing is that the bundle was for a Tacoma. But I think the only difference is rear shock mounting stud. So an adapter will solve that. I read a lot about the whole tundra shocks and tundra springs. And I got no where. Still don't understand if the tundra stuff is only if u lift or if u want a stiffer ride. I can't stand the blown shocks feeling. So I bought the bilstien bundle for Tacoma.

I am not planning on lifting it, these things are landcruisers, and for how I offroad I don't want to damage my comfortable ride for 2 or 3 inches of lift. Even tho it would look awesome and could maybe do some crawling.

I bought the rig with 13700 and I went thru the whole truck and replaced ALL fluids and ALL filters. Like 300 in just fluids and filters. I replaced the radiator, brand new denso starter, new timing belt, plugs, wires, k&n filter, and some new Yokohama geo's ats, new rotors and pads, as well as an expensive fan clutch bracket from Toyota.

I absolutely love it, always wanted one.

I want to keep it relatively stock. I will have the wheels powder coated black, I want the wab fab 1.25" body lift, magnaflow or whatever brand I research is better for my use.

I drive about 75 miles daily and off road in ohv areas once a week or once every 2 weeks. Light trail riding. And a little sand. I love that my rig can carry 4 people and gear on a snowboarding trip or a Vegas trip, so I don't want to lose my highway comfort and almost 20mpg.

I hope these bilstiens work...
