It still has a rake, meaning it is still higher in the back than the front. What good would a 2/1.5 do, if the 2/1 has a rake as it is. You'll make it look like it's bending over.

Since it has a rake with the 2/1 still, having slightly less lift in the back would make it even. So if it was .5" in the back instead of 1" it would be perfectly level.

I personally like some rake , since I pull a trailer often. I think the daystar come out pretty level with the 2.5/1/5 . JA's truck looks pretty level.

I'm not so sure that would be any different as far as the rake. Height yes, but there is still a 1" difference between the back spacers and the front spacers, giving the same rake as a 2/1 or 3/2. It must just be a little different for me since I don't tow anything, so I'm not worried about the nose looking too high.

Even Steven has a 1" front (leveling kit).

Snap315 has a 1" front and rear .

I agree with you falls.....I need the rear to still be a little higher than the front, so when we tow you're gonna take some weight in the rear, thats why they all have the rake to begin with.... and thats why I have the Daystar 2.5 with 2.0 in the rear....so I didn't lose much...

SportRunner, how many miles do you have on your Dunlops so far? Any plans on bigger tires to go with that lift? the 2.5/2 looks really good. I occasionally wonder what mine would have looked like with the 2.5/2 Daystar or 3/2 Cornfed.

I thought Daystar only came 2.5 F / 1.5 R . I didn't know there were different kits available that worked with Xreas.

Well at Wheeler'sOffroad it says 2.5/2.0 so I'm guessing its correct...thats where I bought it from a few months ago....I originally hoped it was gonna be the 1.5 but I'm happy with the 2.0 for towing.....I'm getting some BFG AT's next month so that should complete the look, I have 17,000 miles on the Dunlops right now, I've had no problems with traction with them, sand, street, dirt, although I have gotten three flat tires, all patched, all happened onroad...

Going with a 1" is ok too. I like the way Even Stevens truck looks with just the front and Snap's with the 1"F / 1" B.

Just get what works for you , either way will be fine. Stock is ok too. I am currently stock with just running bigger tires and it takes me where I need to and I go off road quite a bit.

Also the higher and more lift you go the more wear on the drivetrain , ( not proven scientifically , but kind of a normal thing that happens when ever you change drive line angles ) Some may have problems down the road others may never have a issue. I would like to do something with my truck , but have not had the time to mess with it. I also drive about 23-25k per year and this is my daily driver so reliability and wear and tear on the drivetrain is a important concern to me . Also you can expect a drop slightly in milage by the tires you choose ) more aggressive and heavier tires will resilt in less milage on both city & Hiway milage ) and by the lift you choose , simply because it also changes the aero dynamics of the truck. ( more so for hiway travel , probably never notice that in the city ).

There also is the possibility of having warranty issues if the dealer decides to be a knob about having a lift.

Just my thoughts......

At least they weren't in the side walls so you were able to patch them. I got a nice nail in mine within the first week I owned my truck, and it missed the tread, or "repairable" area, by less than half of an inch.

I intend on using one of two (still deciding, Goodyear SA's or Michellins) 255/75/17's tires when it's time. I'd like to eliminate some of the rake, fill the wells, have good hydroplane resistance and not kill gas mileage. 255/75/17's and a 1" setup will be perfect for me! Who knows, I might not even have an MPG penalty with that setup.:biggrin2:

I found it on Tirerack but it didn't give a lot of specs to width and height.

I wonder if it would fit in the spare area ?? I know my 265/70/17 does but I dont think there is a lot more room in there,but we not talking about a lot more room either .

Anyone know ? I think HiVel has a tires size similar to that.

Tire choices are a bit limited but workable. I have seen 31.9" to the 32.1" SportRunner mentioned.

I am excited to try them. Another good thing is most of the 255/75's I've seen are 44psi max tires. In Florida with the downpours running 38-40psi is very nice, it helps tremendously with hydroplaning (not mention mpg).

I think a 1" lift on the front and 255/75's would be sweet:biggrin2:
