Looking for Tundra MPG info. Might trade my runner

I currently have a 2004 V8 sport. Im getting about 16 MPG average. I know I have a bad O2 sensor and 2 cracked exhaust manifolds. I want to get a truck and have been looking at 4door Tacomas but I REALLY like the Crewmax Tundras. Can anyone shed any light on what I would be looking at for mileage with the 5.7L Crewmax.

Wow what negative posts from a lurker take it easy there are few people here that own Tundras. It is an honest question that isn't posted ten times a day on separate threads.

I would be interested in this as well. I have a 2003 v8 that gets 17.3 via lie o meter. I drive high way 95% of the time at 70 and wish it still got the 19 it used to. I have been looking at the tundra as well.

A tundra will probably be similar to what you're getting now... They range from 13-20 MPG depending on who you ask. If you plan on adding a lift and bigger wheels and tires expect somewhere around 13-14 MPG's. I've had two of them, both 5.7's with 33's and usually average 13-15 but most of my driving is in town. On the highway I usually get 18-19. It's an awesome truck, the only thing it doesn't do well is gas mileage...

I have a 2014 double cab as my DD. All stock except Bilstien 5100's in front to level it out. I get 18-19 every tank mixed driving. Usually 16ish highway towing. Get's better MPG compared to my modded 3rd Gen 4Runner or the modded 2nd Gen Tacoma I traded in for the Tundra.

my dad has a 2011 tundra, gets about 14 mpg combined, mostly city driving though. he also has a bit of a lead foot. on a recent highway trip that was about 400 miles between me and him we averaged about 19 mpg
