Looking to buy a camper trailer, will the 4Runner be able to tow it?

I'm looking to buy a 22' camper trailer, weight about 3200lbs. I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner V8 with an OME lift.

Will I be fine with pulling this?

how many lbs are you going to put into the 3200-lb trailer?
i think you can haul a TOTAL of 5000 pounds easy.

The answer is yes, many do and very successfully. Hook a 3200-5000lb behind a 1-ton truck and go. Hook it up to the lighter, shorter T4R and more care is required. The trailer brakes must work properly, the load must be balanced etc.

If you do buy the trailer I highly suggest a brake controller and a sway control device.

The weight won't be the problem, just minimizing sway.

If you have a later 2003, the capacity is up to 7000lbs with the beefier hitch that's on 2004+ V8s.
