Well I can comment on a few things. A 94 w/ 70k would probably be a nice ride, just keep in mind that it is 12 years old, and what mileage has not worn out, time may have taken its toll. Also a 94 would be a 2nd gen, still a good truck, but 96-02 are 3rd gen and more desireable, IMO. One major perk are the motors, 2nd gen are 3.0 V6 and 2.4 L4, both good motors but underpowered, 3rd gen are 3.4 V6 and 2.7 L4, some still think they are underpowered but they are significantly ahead of the older motors. I would try to sit in a 4Runner as for the size, I am 6' and fit fine, but I also fit just fine in a Corolla or Camry, I would not say my 02 Runner is roomy inside, fine for me but with two people you will be fighting for the armrest. If they are big enough I would hold out for a 96-00. I assume you mean will the Runner break, if you find one that was properly maintained you should be able to get 200k or more w/ few problems. V6 motors need T-belts at 90k and many do the water pump and belts at the same time, so that could be a pricey bill if you buy one w/ around that mileage and no history of T-belt maint., the 2.7 4 uses a chain and may last the life of the motor. The trannys are very strong either 5 speed or auto as are the diffs and xfer case.
