Looking to buy need opinions

Don't know a thing about these but I want one and seem like they would work for my life style and outdoor hobbies.

Is it a good buy? What should I look for? How reliable are these once they get over 100,000miles? Anything that should probably be worn out with its current miles? Bjs, tie rods, hubs?

Agree with both ^^ The VIN does decode as 2WD. We can ask member [MENTION=1032]NoDak[/MENTION] , but I'd bet he'll agree.

its probably a southern transplant from one of those bakken people that didn't realize, your an idiot if you bring a big suv with 2wd rear wheel drive into ND winters.

do a carfax on the vin and see where it was first bought/registered, it was probably below the Mason-Dixon line.

For future searching, 2010-2012 SR5 4X4 have an old school 4X4 selector to the front and right of the normal drive selector. 2013 + have a small knob that is turned to select 4X4.

Limited all have knobs in the same spot if Full Time 4X4.

Trails all have the old school knob.

and if you look at the interior pics,

1. the lever to the top right of the gear selector is a blank plastic.
2. the knobs on the center console is missing the 4x4 knob aka older TE
3. its missing the 4x4 knob just right of the steering column but before the center console aka LE
4. its missing the small hand lever from the newer TE

the heated seat knobs tells me its a Premium (and the 2014+ premiums only have the heated seat controls in that one location or its an older limited. New LE have the heated/vented controls on the center dash low)

No usually it is an automated response from a poorly programmed script.
Although it might be them trying to show you a low price to bait you onto the lot.

below sticker at least, below invoice would be better. I got about 3k below sticker without even trying which came out to about invoice or just below.

not a big deal for me since a dealership still has to make some money and the salesman also.

plus I got what I wanted w/o the BS and run around on verbal agreement. no down payment even required.

but don't let that fool you, I've bought my last 10+ Toyotas from the same dealer/salesman/new car Toyota general manager so my situation is unique.

and I expect to buy a new 3rd gen Tacoma when they come out next fall to replace the warden's 2012 Tacoma DCab. should be a great trade in with only about 18-19k miles on it
