Looking to mod my (new) 07 Sport 4wd!!

I highly suggest calling the retrofit source and getting all your questions answered. You could just get a wire harness, ballasts and rebased 9006 HID bulbs and install in your current headlights. But again, you will get much better light on the road with the D2S projectors and bulbs...and at the end of the day, that's what's it's about right?!

Yes. You are right. I just am a little worried about messing up my headlight in the process. I know you said it's easy, and I'm sure it's not HARD but I have never done it and I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about it before I do it. I want the white(not blue) light that covers a wide area of road in front of me so I will definitely change the projectors. When I adjust cut off and height on the projectors is that something I do when they're installed or do it while the headlight is out of the truck?

Spacers are the cheapest way to lift it, but a set of Bilstein 5100 should be around $400 shipped to you. I'd definitely suggest the 5100's over a spacer lift.

If I put the 5100's in front, and get the FJ springs in the rear. Will that work as a lift? How high?

Depends on what setting you use on the fronts. I'd think the highest (2.5) setting would level it, the 3rd highest (1.75) setting would give you a little rake

I just installed 5100s with Moog rear fj springs. I was expecting 1.5 inches of lift in the rear but got 2. I set the fronts at the highest setting and got 2.5. I still have rake but I think the rear might settle a little.

Do you have a pic? I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Just wondering if I need a 1" spacer for the front?

I wouldn't use an extra spacer in addition to the 5100s at the highest setting because you will not be able to get your alignment right without UCAs. Here is a pick before I added my new tires but you can get a better idea of the lift.

did you do everything yourself?

Yes which is how I knew that it was more complicated than the 3 nut and 1 bolt description. It is a very do able job for the average person provided that you understand basic mechanics. The most difficult task was gaining enough room to put the assembly with the taller shock in. The 5100s are longer than stock and allow for greater suspension travel compared to a spacer lift with stock shocks. To gain this extra clearance I had my 15 year old son to stand on a cheater pipe pushing the lower control arm down. It might have helped to loosen the lower control arm bolts but I got the job done with no injuries to me or my son. If I were to do it again I would loosen the lower control arm bolts to start with. There are many write ups on the entire process and YouTube videos. I did not worry so much about the spring compression because I used to autocross and had compressed many springs without event. It can be unnerving looking at the bolts bowing under the pressure of the spring.

If you plan to go with the 5100s, I would not use any spacers. Bilstein designed these to give the maximum amount of lift without a lot of other parts. Adding spacers puts you into a bigger project which would be better accomplished with longer springs or coilovers.

I checked my local parts dealer and the Bilstein 5100 are only a replacement to factory. They offer no height difference. Are we talking about the same shocks? So if I go 5100's all around my height should be no different from factory? Or is there a different style of Bilstein 5100? If so what do you recommend for a guy looking for a 2-21/2" lift?

Disregard this, my parts guys fried. He quoted me Bilstein HD shocks at $230can, and there not adjustable. Won't be going back there, I can get 2 fronts and 2 rear all adjustable from Toyotec.com for far better of a price. Thanks for all the shout outs.
