Looking to purchase a 4th gen

Anyone out there know of a good place to locate a 4th gen for sale? I've looked at all of my local dealerships, craigslist, etc.... but nothing that I want. I'm looking for a v8, must be 4x4, NO plastic body trim, leather interior (NO TAN), and the colors I want are white, black, or charcoal. Would also prefer a hood scoop. Any help would be much appreciated! I am located in Marietta, GA.

Yes, it absolutely must have a V8. The only way I will consider cloth interior is if it is black, but I really would prefer leather.
 
I am doing something very similar.

There are not a lot of 4th Gen 4runners for sale and there are even less 4wd ones, limiteds (with leather) are even more rare.

I am in contact with dealerships in Houston, Austin, Corpis Christi and Little Rock for specific 4Runners. I will be shipping whatever vehicle I purchase and I will be going through multiple local inspection firms to confirm condition. I will then have to ship the vehicle to Maine.

I have been researching primarily dealers because it will be a lot easier for them to accommodate me than a private citizen.

Be prepared to research, my primary source is Autotrader and then I branch off from there.

yes, use autotrader but not a lot out there.

I found 24 white, 39 black and 3 charcaol in the US.

You should definitely find what you're looking for. How long have you been looking?

I'm not sure what you mean about "no plastic body trim". The bumpers and fender flares are all plastic.

For reference, I also wanted a Limited 4X4 V8. It took me about 6 months from really wanting a 4Runner to pull the trigger on one. There were 3-4 months of daily searching.

Cast a wide net and get those saved searches on AutoTrader and Craigslist working for you. I live in southwest MI, but was looking as far as CO, WI, IL, IN, OH, and PA. I also searched a lot in VA, where I've been traveling for work. I wasn't opposed to a fly-and-drive.

I ended up buying from a Toyota dealer in IL. Their price was a little high for the mileage/condition until they lowered it over a weekend. Then, I nabbed it. It had been there 45 days, and their limit to try to sell retail is 60. It was their last ditch effort to move it before it went to auction.
 
Check out cars.com. I just bought my 05 Limited V8 4x4 last week using that site. Had lots of choices and just about every dealership I know of in Arkansas had cars on it. Even had carfax reports you could look at on most of the vehicles which was a big plus.
 
I've always had great luck with craigslist. Just search many different surrounding cities. And if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
 
I was looking for the exact same thing as you. Then I found this blue with tan interior for about $3K under KBB Private Owner price. I bought it. The color scheme has grown on me over the years. I really didn't want the tan interior though and that was what kept me from finding what I wanted. I searched for quite some time and ended up finding this one within 10 miles of me.

Anyway, I've got an '05 Sport V8, 4x4, Gray with 106k miles. Gray leather, and It's been babied since new. I'm the original owner. I'll PM you to see if you're interested.
