Looking to upgrade my nav on 2003 limited?

Does anyone have experience with a high quality easy to use nav system?
Stereo is secondary.

i dont like pioneer radios BUT the new nex8000 unit is pretty nice looking.

i am a pioneer and kenwood dealer thats why i have so many radios in my truck

how do you upgrade navigation? can you give it audio commands
to find POI and destinations? i asume it has a very crisp screen.

I've given up on the built-in navigation and going to a dedicated GPS instead. My conclusion is dual purpose machines fall short in one function or the other. I need a good topo gps which rules out Yota in-dash GPS. If you want a good street GPS I recommend the one that comes stock in the Limited.

That one isn't "terrible" but it has the same problems that any stock-in-dash-nav has. Not the latest interface, can't be operated while driving etc. etc. etc.

I had the Avic in mine and couldn't have been happier with it. It loaded fast and never crashed.

I had a Clarion NX603 in my 3rd gen and really liked it. A NX604 is going in my 4th gen. It might not be top of the line, but for $425 the NX603 was a great bang for the buck.

I like the pioneer, Dont LOVE it like my Kenwood.

My love comes differently and is fueled my lots of backend stuff normally of no concern for end consumers.

For instance:
- Warranty returns. Pionner takes forever, enough so that the boxes develope layer of dust. Kenwood i get replacement product before i send the defective back. Kenwood returns vs Pioneer are 1 to 4 respectively

- Quality: Kenwood hands down 2 year warranty, remote control is included
- Features: Kenwood. who lets you set front speaker size, set type of vehicle its in, crossover point, crossover slope and then lets you adjust the gain on the tweeter? thats for the front two speakers. you get to do that for all the speakers in the car. then you can raise the sound stage up or down depending on how tall you are. Who does that? Kenwood!

IF you installed a nex unit then did a kenwood dnn 991 or dnx891 back to back. you will notice sound quality changes and a WHOLE NEW feature set that will drive you bonkers.

Basically drive a honda accord or drive a lexus ls460 both top of the line of their respective brands.

Pioneer looks cool, interface is neat, it sells itself like honda says

Which kenwood are you saying let's you do all of that? Wasn't sure which model you were referring to. Also if you are talking about the dnx991, would the ddx8901 or kdc-x998 do the same if one didn't want the nav? Also how is it best to integrate with the jbl synthesis setup? Thanks.

Ok, its a DNN991HD, DNX series do not have wifi, cloud, social media etc

stuff i am descibing comes in the DNN series both regular kenwood and excelon, DNX891hd, DNX771hd, and maybe the ddx7701hd and ddx8901hd (those two are the top line models with no navi).

KDC-X998 and 898 should do it, i have them on the sound board and it has these features.

Mixed reviews on intergrating with the JBL. personally i tossed it. but module available from metra, pac, or scosche...they all suck equally LOL. i stock the pac-tato crap. suck because volume goes up and down and goes wonky...search and you will see.
