Does anyone else feel that the movable latches for the rear seat backs are loose? Even when the seat is latched, the seat back can still jiggle a fair amount. I think this may be the source of the horrible clunking that has been driving me crazy for the last year.... Yeah, my backseat never gets used.

wrap the contact bar with electrical tape. i did.. they still rattle lolol works for some and its cheap to try.

My former 12 Trail and current 17 Limited (both only 2 row seats) both had rattle from the rear seat back latches. This rattle seems to go away if I adjust the seat back recline to first position. Basically it adds extra tension on the mechanism and reduces the amount of loose travel a little bit.

I was installing some stuff last week and I notice the same thing.
Everything was fine and for the first time I noticed this latch and was wondering what it was so I tried it and now my backseats (the double one) is a little bit loose. Not as much as you seems to describe but i don’t know, maybe you should open all this up and see if the movable bracket can be tightened?
Keep me posted if you find your problem because i want to fix it too if possib’e

Anyone have any idea how to get the interior B pillar trim off to expose the bracket?

Would love a solution to this as well, even my passenger seat jiggles a lot and drives me up the wall.

funny that this got necro'd from 2019 just as i'm searching for the same thing!
both my rear seats makes a ton of noise in my 2012 TE, ridiculous amount of play in them.
the metal bar is what moves and that's a large interior body panel blocking the internals to see what if anything can be tightened.
electrical tape in the bar will do nothing. if i fix mine i'll report back

Did you find a fix? My 2017 TRD PRO is doing the same thing as you have described. The metal latch is loose and shakes even w/ the seat locked in.
