lower axle boot?

Hey all, I just had a nice $750 bill to replace my lower axle boots on my 4 runner, and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I just lifted my 4 runner and my mechanic said that the increased angle of my suspension wore out my already brittle axle boots. Weird huh

Not really weird. The increased angles WILL cause those parts to wear faster, which is why diff drop kits are also available to bring the angles back closer to factory.


What's wierd is that you paid $750 for a job that you could have easily done yourself.
