Lower control arm CREAK!

Security Check Requiredok, ive looked all over and havent found any threads with this actual noise. i know it could be bushings or what not but i wanna see if anyone else has experienced this after being in snow or rain. ive lubed multiple times and it keeps coming back and im about to send it off a cliff. nothing has ever been done to the lower arms and i feel like toyota would try and pawn it off on my after market suspension. short of ripping it apart, anyone have any bright ideas?!?!?!

If you had front suspension work done they performed an alignment. If they aligned it, guess what? They loosened your lower control arm bolts. Chances are they didn't tighten them enough- They need to be TIGHT. I think the spec is something like 200+ ft lbs (been awhile).

Same thing happened to me- I took it back to the shop and had them align it again (for free) and tighten the bolts. No more noise.

Retorque your lower control arm cam bolts to 100ftlbs. But before you torque it down, make sure that the wheels are on and truck is on the ground to get rid of any preload on bushings.

No help for your squeak, but for your files just get yourself a youtube channel and post your vids there and then you can just link them. Good luck.

I found the sway bar bushings also creak occasionally. Mine is KDSS. WD40 helps

Also, FYI OP you can change the LCA bushings only without buying a whole new LCA. At ~45k miles I replaced mine and now clank free

FYI factory torque specs are 129 ft-lb for the LCA bolts (fronts).
