Lower marker lights - when do they turn on?

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Sr5. I just noticed my lower marker amber lights never come on on both sides. I know the upper ones are daytime running lights and turn signals but when do the lower ones turn on? Is it when the headlights are on?

The replacement bulbs at the dealership is only $6.50 and looks like an easy job. Just curious when they turn on before deciding if I want to replace the bulbs.

When you say lower marker lights, are you referring too the ones in the front bumper?

If so read your owner's manual, they are fog lights and you have to turn them on via the light switch, and they only turn on when you have the low beams on, they don't come on with the high beams on or they will go off when you have them on and hit the high beams and will come back on after going back to low beams.

I was referring to the lower amber light next to the headlights, not the fog lights.

OK, I have a 2004 and it has different light so I don't know the answer, I'm sure someone will chime in and help you out.

They are parking light / side marker. Should be on when the light knob is turned to the first position. Should also be on with the headlights on.

You can get led bulbs for replacement in whatever color u prefer. Brighter and similar price as OEM , and they'll last almost forever (quality ones anyway)
