Lowering the rear 1" 2wd

I have an 07xsp. My 4runner is more of an urban runner, and never sees off road besides a gravel driveway. I want to eliminate a little of the fender gap in the rear. It's crazy how much of a rake it has. I know I can cut the spring a little, but cutting the factory springs won't allow the spring to fully seat since you're taking away the flat area if I'm correct. Since I do tow my boat with it I don't want to lower it more than this, and they look terrible slammed. I know burtman industries makes springs, however I only want to lower the back. I'll be adding, bigger sway bar, poly bushings etc, as I do some spirited driving and want it to take the curves a little better on our way to the wakeboard park.
Before the flaming even begins, I know I could've bought a subaru outback. Guess what, I didn't want one. :thumb:

Cliffs notes, does anyone know where I can get rear springs, or a company that could wind set of rears an inch shorter?

Leveling it is just the start. Next thing you know he'll be asking how to make it hellaflush, and trying to figure out a way to get more negative camber on the rear axle. It's a slippery slope.

since its yours and thats what you want to do, even though if it isn't lifted on 33" all terrains on this forum its satanic, this company makes custom springs and can help you out

I was told to expect some turds here and there. Well 1" wouldn't level it first. Second it's not yard equipment (though it is supposed to look that way), third do some homework before you mention solid axle and hellaflush in the same sentence. Good luck getting that much negative camber w/out fabrication. Someone as smart as you're trying to be should at least know that about solid axles. Unlike yourself I actually educate myself on all aspects of cars, and have owned all different types from turbo civics to my 9 sec street 20mpg vette. :fish2:

Thanks! I understand I'm the minority on the site for sure not having it lifted, but I've had lifted trucks, don't care to lift this one, especially it being 2wd.

terrible mpg and wayyyyyyyy to much of a chance for me to go nuts with it. I have enough spare ls parts to put that trailblazer in the 11's. I just sold my last hot rod to give it a rest for awhile.

No I think we agree. I didn't realize you were being facetious about the camber. LOL I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea here. This truck takes us into tight winch spots so it goes on small paths, trails etc, but its more urban, I drive it daily and genuinely just love my 4runner. The only thing for lowering the rear is purely aesthetics. It may not even happen b/c I refuse to cut my springs for it to happen. For me I think if you build a car/truck for anyone or anything other than what you want and are happy with, then you're doing it for the wrong reason. I have thick skin no worries!
