My passenger side arm had that gap after torqued. I was concerned with it but didnt have the energy to take it all apart and check everything. So I slid the boot down and closed the gap and all has been fine.
How.
there is a significant gap between the boot and the slug in the spindle. Normal or not? It doesn't seem light more tightening will fix it. Everything seems installed correctly.
SPC logo?
Here's a close-up picture of mine. Hope it helps.
Mine are SPC and I didn't have a gap at all. It was just a PITA to press them in. Give tech support a call. Send them a photo. You can play the guessing game on here all day long. You want to make sure it's done right!

Why not just post what you did to get them pressed in/flush?
