LTDSC Build Thread

a 3" spacer? on the front or rear? that sounds a bit off.

I had a driver lean and a 1.5" spacer in the driver rear corrected the issue.

Well, with the Tacoma struts i put on a 2" top strut spacer to achieve the full lift. So since im a little over an inch off from the passenger side i plan to swap that one out with a 3" top strut spacer.

I got ya that makes more since lol I was thinking how are you adding another three inches on top of what you have lol

haha that would be interesting. Sorry i didnt mention swapping it out so i can see how it got confusing. The rear is with Daystar spacers already and its even, for some reason the front just likes to dip to driver side more than i anticipated.

I also have a nice clunk on the driver side that im guessing is my sway bar hitting the strut because its not even a finger width apart and i hear it on inclines where the driver side is compressed. I bought sway bar relocates just to see if that stops it.

Be careful of going over the total suspension lift of 3". I tried to cure my driver lean with the spacers in the front, and went over 3" total on drivers side.

I had the ride in the air with full wheel drop with it like that, and turned my tires. Bad bind and clunk coming from the CV joints. This is probable why they say no more than a 3" suspension lift in the front. I took most of the lean out with rear spacers. It will put some weight on the right side front also.

Nice sliders there, wish I had some. Nice choice on tires also.

Yeah ill make sure to turn at all cycles of the suspension before im set on it. Technically it should be equal if not less with the passenger side because of the sagging but i get what you're saying. Im sitting at 37.5+/- a hair.

badass, no reason for him to feel bad. I LOVE the 5th gen, my height just cant handle them. They have less headroom than my 4th gen.

WHICH brings me to my next mod, im cutting/modifying the seat brackets this weekend. They're all chalked up and drawn up for the "redesign". Overall should net a few inches of drop in the seat.

Oh I know, I was just giving him crap. I do like a done up 5th Gen.

Interesting mod you'll be doing. I look forward to seeing it.

That's cause you did a very dumb thing, Alex! :peace: :jk:

Not to hijack this thread, but Terri your truck looked so amazing in white, that I had to get me a Blizzard pearl, plus I could not resist the deal when the sticker prices was $39450 and I took it out the door for $34850. ;):
