Luggage rack end caps

Anyone know where to buy one? I had the rack apart to repaint the rails and wasn't paying attention during the assembly I broke the tab on the end cap and need a new one. I siliconed rubbered the broken one back on but it needs replacing.
This is the distributor installed roof rack

You should be able to get them from Toyota. Just call up your local dealer and see if they can help you out.

Thanks for posting those. I had replaced my Left-Front by the PO just before I bought this truck. I was about to go out and look at my paperwork to see if I could find the number.

They are the same. Front right and back left are the same and front left and back right are the same.

I have broken these end caps a few times. They're not really meant to be removed a lot, but I keep my cross bars off so I can fit in my garage and probably use the rack 3 or 4 times a year. I grind the tab off and space the screw slot up so that it doesn't have to flex anymore.

The easiest way to remove/install them is to losen the rail up so you don't break them.

My alldatadiy manual shows 4 pry points on each, 2 on each side, but when I tried gently pulling the caps off, they really feel like they are going to break.

Advice gratefully appreciated. I am going to powder coat the rails this week and they need to come off.

After you remove the torx screw, you have to sort of carefully wiggle them out. You can lift the tab with a screwdriver a tiny bit to help disengage it, but it's tricky. There's a good chance the plastic has become brittle over time so they might break no matter how careful you are.

If you're taking the rails off anyway, wouldn't you be able to just remove all of the screws and lift it off with the end caps still attached? Seems like it would be easier to remove them that way. As far as I can tell and according to my manual my 2015 TE requires you remove the end caps to get to the screws. I can get new end caps but if I don't have to break them to remove them I'd prefer to not.

I tried lightly prying on the seam around the cap and they just have that "I'm about to break, you aren't doing this right" feel to them.

So you just kept prying until they released?

I think we may be talking about different types of rails here maybe.

My 2015 TE has black end caps with silver rails. There are 2 screws each on both ends of the rails on the bottom side of the rail right next to the end caps. Alldatadiy says you have to pry the caps off to get to the mounting screws which are under the caps. The caps are definitely not one piece - they are the base and then the "cap" folds over the top and appears to snap on.

I got them off tonight, and yes as I feared I cracked the first one getting it off.

After that one it became readily apparent how to do it and how NOT to do it.

Pictures tomorrow (on how to do it and how NOT to do it) and $51 down the tubes.
